CENTER FOR CHRISTIAN FORMATION
PASTORAL MINISTRY
Pastoral Ministry is one of the components of Center for Christian Formation (CCF) that is tasked to organize and promote social awareness and responsibility among NSDAPS community through programs that is Christ- centered, service oriented, community based and environment friendly.
In the dimension of faith, Pastoral Ministry is the “MORALS” dimension; it is the witnessing/living out of faith. It is loving service and compassionate caring that would gauge an authentic understanding and mature response to the demands of faith.
OBJECTIVES
Pastoral Ministry Aims to:
Provide opportunities to personnel, parents, students and alumni to render services to the poor (the least, the last and the lost)
Develop social awareness and responsibility to defend the weak and the oppressed.
Develop the value of volunteerism and create an atmosphere conducive for collaboration between the school community, parish community, local community and extended community (adopted community)
Become true servant-leaders following the concepts of Jesus Christ, the Master “who came not to be served but to serve”.
Deeply integrate and make alive the truths of Catholic Faith towards becoming a real “community of disciples of Christ” before the world.
PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
Monthly outreach activity in Sitio Ibayo – Adopted Community of the school
Annual outreach program of the students, parents, alumni and school personnel.
Annual Gift giving to children in Sitio Ibayo during Christmas.
Giving of Noche Buena package to selected poor families
Giving of School Supplies during opening of classes to selected public school students.
Sponsorship in the “Binyagan ng Bayan” in Sitio Ibayo.
Annual giving of personal hygiene kit to People Deprived of Liberty in BJMP San Mateo.
